French President Francois Hollande has closed the French borders and mobilised the army in a dramatic attempt to wrest control of a chaotic and dangerous terrorism situation still unfolding in central Paris. Mr Hollande said there had been six different shooting scenes in the capital as well as three explosions at the Stade de France. The latest shootings are believed to have taken place around the Louvre, Les Halles and Pompidou centre locations in the centre of Paris. At least 40 people have been killed in the attacks and between 60 and 100 rock concert-goers are believed to be held hostage by at least one gunman armed with explosives inside the Bataclan theatre.
