Several dozen people have died after a series of separate but simultaneous terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday night, president Francois Hollande has said. Many others were wounded in the incidents and a state of emergency has been declared in the city. The attacks took place outside the Stade de France and in the 10th and 11th districts, all places that are packed with people on a Friday night. Up to 100 people were reportedly taken hostage at the Bataclan concert hall in the centre of the city where the Eagles of Death Metal were playing.
